Vintage Design
Henry Bodart (Namur March 21, 1874 – Jambes June 3, 1940) was a painter, draftsman, engraver, etcher and illustrator. Education at the Academy in Namur (Auguste Dandoy, drawing; Théodore Baron, painting) and at Auguste Danse (engraving). Dedicated more than 300 engravings and countless drawings to ancient Namur. From 1896 was a teacher at the Academy in Namur and from 1920 at the Cadet School there. Ceased teaching in 1934. Co-founder of ‘L’Estampe’, chairman of the ‘Fédération des artistes wallons’ and co-founder of various magazines.
Painting from 1912 on paper, cardboard behind the glass in very good condition.
In contrast, the frame has numerous damage as seen in the pictures.

Painting only 63/25 cm.
