Image numbers 6 and 7 show original photographs of the table and chairs in its first home in the Barbican, London after being purchased from Harrod’s.
With gold coloured anodized aluminium edging and cream piping, the table stands on tapering legs in faux leather. The top is cloth based with painted chinoiserie figures and foliage detail behind glass. The chairs have a textured pvc-type fabric with a gold coloured metal cantilever back giving them movement for comfortability. All the seating is sound and has no rips. There are a few marks to the fabric with age, and some white spots in places. The glass sits firmly on the top.
The legs to the table and chairs are removeable. I will be removing these for packing and transport, and they will need to be put back on by yourself. All of the legs firmly twist tight.
The glass on the top is not fixed to the table, there is a very small nick to the underside, this is hardly noticeable. The pad feet are missing from the table, although the table is at a good height without these and there is plenty of legroom.
The anodized gold colour has mellowed in brightness over the years. The gold colour to the plastic pad feet on the chairs has worn with age.
Additional dimensions information:
There is 67cm in height under the frieze of the table.
Chairs: 46cm wide x 92cm high x 56cm deep. The seat heights are 49cm.
