Vintage Design
Offered is an eye-catching, colorful ceramic vase from Dümler & Breiden Germany.
The vase has a bulbous shape with a slightly inwardly curved neck and a wide opening (13.5 cm). The surface of the vase has a structured, almost rough texture. The color scheme is very vibrant, with dominant reds fading into orange tones and darker colors such as black and brown. The colors seem to flow into each other and create a fiery, almost flaming effect. This type of ceramic piece is often referred to as “Fat Lava”, a technique that was particularly popular in West German ceramics of the 1960s and 1970s.
