Vintage Design
The illuminated mirror was designed in 1927 and the Mirophar was born. It found its place in luxury hotels as a shaving and make-up mirror.
The original plaque is still there. The mirror glass is dated on the back: May 8, 1962. This is not visible when the mirror is in place.
The mirror is manufactured to a high quality. It has a ball joint, can be tilted in any direction and can therefore be adjusted very flexibly.
The mirror’s frame is chrome-plated. The middle, frosted small glass through which the light falls is also in a chrome-plated frame.
The mirror has a bayonet mount. A recess for cable feed has been incorporated into the wall bracket.
The connection for a razor is no longer electrified.
Diameter mirror 23.5 cm
Distance from the wall 12 cm, wall plate diameter 10 cm
The back joint shows several dents and scratches; the brass is partially visible here. The outer edge is rubbed in a place of approx. 1.5 cm. There is a fine scratch of approx. 1.5 cm on the mirror surface.
