Decorative Japanese woven travel trunk from the Meiji period.
Dimensions: height 18 cm, width 55 cm, depth 40 cm.
This handmade antique travel trunk is constructed of bamboo and woven reed, with leather reinforcements at the corners.
Due to its age and extensive use, the travel trunk shows signs of wear and some parts are missing. However, this does not detract from its decorative value.
The trunk consists of two parts that fit precisely together. This basket can still be used as a storage container, for example, for textiles.
Overall, the antique basket adds an authentic Japanese accent that complements any stylish interior.
