Dimensions: height 121.5 cm, width 17.5 cm, depth 3 cm.
At the top, a crane is depicted, representing health and longevity in Japanese culture. Dai-Nippon Seimei was established in 1902.
Translation: “Application for Insurance by Dai-Nippon Life Insurance Company Limited” (大日本生命保險株式會社保險申込)
The Japanese characters and the crane are carved from the wood and then hand-painted.
