Antique Victorian sterling silver salver, hallmarked in London by Robert Harper in 1859.
The salver has a pie crust edge with scroll and shell border, raised on three cast scrolled feet. The field is beautifully hand engraved, depicting various fruits in circular rosettes in between an embossed design with a vacant cartouche.
In very good condition, with some light signs of use, a few light scratches are noticeable around the vacant cartouche area. No repairs or damage.
Robert Harper worked from 1853-1880. He was first recorded at Red Lion Street, Clerkenwell, London.
1240 grams.
