This travelling dresser or vanity set is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from France and date to approximately 1920 and done in the period Art Deco style. The set is composed of a series of leather covered boxes and two jars, two bottles and two brushes and a fitted leather carrying case. The tops of these cut glass jars, bottles and brushes are done in Continental silver with a gilt interior finish. All the various boxes, jars, bottles and brushes fit securely into compartments on the one side of the leather carrying case. The other side of the case has a drop down compartment for storate. Each of the jar lids have impressed hallmarks for French Continental silver.
