Vintage Design
The porcelain set was designed in 1959 by Jarmila Formánková for Ditmar Urbach. The set consists of a vase (10x10x24cm), a bowl with a handle (20x14x10cm) and a plate (21x21x6cm). The items from this collection are called “Pyžamo” (Pajamas) because of their characteristic vertical stripes. This is one of the most interesting examples of the so-called Brussels style, i.e. Czechoslovak design of the 1950s and 1960s, which achieved great success after the World Exhibition in Brussels in 1958. The set is very well preserved, with minor damage visible in the photos.
