A very fine19th Century fiddle back mahogany and burr amboyna credenza of exceptional quality, stunningly hand carved with rich patination, beautiful grain and ormolu mounted with line and marquetry inlay throughout. The well figured moulded and shaped bow fronted amboyna top with ebonized border trim is raised over panelled frieze with beautifully detailed geometric marquetry work framed with decorative ormolu border trimmed detail and applied flowerhead paterae. Supported above four crossbanded and inlaid single glazed panelled doors which open to beautiful cream lined shelved interiors and are flanked with pilaster column detail, all embellished with finely cast, decorative ormolu mounts, foliate escutcheons and applied flowerhead paterae motifs, terminating on moulded platform base.
