This exquisite and rare set is features a large faceted mirror and stunning embossed coppered frame with floral decorations and 2 peacocks in the upper corners and 2 peacocks under the mirror. On top of the mirror we’ll see a hand-painted wood marquetry painting of a romantic scene around a fountain. Small knobs of copper give an extra accent to the clothing of the man and woman. The mirror has weathering in the glass, which is a natural process and often occurs in antique mirrors.
The two side panels have a similar floral decorated embossed copper frames and detailed hand-painted wood marquetry paintings. The first panel portrays a woman with sheep under a tree. The second panel portrays a woman knitting under a tree with goose by the water.
