Stunning oversized grand French art deco buffet. Custom design made with the finest materials available during this period. I could imagine this design featured in French furniture salons specializing in decorative arts. This piece, designed In the style of Dominique, Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, Jules Leleu, must have been completed by some well known designer. The wood is a very dramatic three dimensional honey grained amboyna style wood with heavy thick doors, all interiors lined in mahogany and pear wood. This buffets sits on a contrasting ebonized wood plinth that is divided between two large storage doors which is centered by a great looking glass and chrome vitrine with adjustable shelves.
A simple design with dramatic stark colors contrasting both dark and light woods, would look phenomenal to flank a large dining room, living room, CEO office or gallery wall. The shape has pleasing round edges, with a matching all wood top, great for display of glass, sculptures, collections and hanging a great painting above.
