Erwin Eisch was an outstanding German glass artist and co-founder of the international studio glass movement. Born on April 18, 1927 in Frauenau in the Bavarian Forest, Eisch began his artistic career as a painter and sculptor before turning to glass art. Eisch’s works are represented in renowned museums worldwide, and he is considered a pioneer who broke the traditional boundaries of glass art. His glassworks in Frauenau was not only a production site, but also a creative center that attracted artists and art lovers from all over the world.
