Great black lacquered Utsubo-type quiver (yebira) of traditional shape with a removable cover with a double curved side, and equipped with a broad reddish brown leather strap (dohyô).
Decorated with a crest (mon) depicting two swirling commas (futatsu’tomoe) surrounded by and continuing on the body a karakusa (scrolling vines) motif, executed in golden hiramaki-e (low-relief lacquer design).
