Vintage Design
Between modernity and tradition, this large glazed earthenware dish is a production from the beginning of the 20th century by Poterie Elchinger in Soufflenheim. The traditional patterns of common Alsatian pottery are slightly modified here to give a modern and graphic aspect to the piece. We feel the influence of Art Deco here, which brings elegance and dynamism. The wavelet decoration is particularly original and successful, it gives a new depth to this great dish without deviating from its traditional Alsatian identity.
The dish is of good size, very decorative. It is in very good condition. It is signed on the reverse and numbered by hand.
31.5cm in diameter, 6.5cm in height.
