Vintage Design
This original bisque porcelain OP Art vase was designed by Heinrich Fuchs in the 1970s for Hutschenreuther, Germany. This beautifully hand sculptured piece stands at a foot high and is made from matt bisque porcelain, decorated with a stunning brutalist OP Art textured stone surface, whilst being glazed inside.
It has the Hutschenreuther Germany stamp to the base and numbers 6298/30 impressed in the porcelain. An impressive piece of sculpture of large proportions, which would add drama to any room. In lovely vintage condition, with no cracks or chips.
Hutschenreuther was responsible for bringing porcelain to the common man and was a pioneer of the modern German china industry. Hurschenreuther recruited artists, craftsmen, and sculptors from other European potteries.
Measurements: 30.5cm H x 15cm diameter.
