Vintage Design
This is a large and beautifully detailed bronze sculpture of Mercury, also known as Hermes, dating from the second half of the 20th century. Mercury is beautifully depicted with a striking verdigris patina, standing on a gust of wind issued from the mouth of the god Zephyrus. Mercury’s heels are winged allowing the God to fly through the air and deliver messages to the Olympian Gods. This high-quality hot cast solid bronze statue was produced using the traditional “lost wax” process, otherwise known as the “cire perdue” method. The attention to detail here is remarkable and this large bronze is sure to receive the maximum amount of attention wherever it is placed either inside your house or in your garden.
