Vintage Design
Large Mid Century Tapestry designed by Jean Lurcat and probably produced by Corot. Very colorful fishes, butterflies and starfishes are depicted on a large black background. The theme “Les Brochets” depicts a flock of pike in a nocturnal aquatic vision. Out of the water, on a background, the themes dear to Lurcat like butterflies and stars. Recently mounted on a wooden frame, the tapestry shows signs of aging and two imperceptible repairs made by a very good craftsman.
