Vintage Design
A stunning Mid-century modern studio pottery hand-turned vase from the talented Karl Jüttner workshop from the 60s. The shape is simple yet unusual with a small, raised opening, but it the colors that make this vase so special it has a deep corn-flower blue base with white details in a very advanced form of glazing. The wonderful thick matte glaze in shimmering blue and white completes the overall look of the vase. There is no damage and it is in a fantastic condition and it has the Karl Jüttner mark is on the bottom. Karl Jüttner (1921-2006) of Saalfeld, Thüringen, Germany. Most of his work was created during the time of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) or East Germany.
It is 24cm (9,44′) high and around 15cm (5.90′) in diameter.
