Kartell
Philippe Starck was born in Paris on 18th January 1949 the son of an aircraft designer; it is he who probably inspired the young Starck. Even at a very early age Starck showed enthusiasm for design.
Much of his work produced in the 1980s and 1990s was influenced by fashion and novelty.
Ploof two-seat settee
The soft design with the organic shape seems to lean on Pop Art.
Ploof possesses an ironic and informal elegance, which is enlivened by the smooth and light Polyethylene material usable in indoor and outdoor settings. This particular Lavender color is out of production.
