This objet d’art is made from a selection of high quality materials. The cockerel, a symbol of good luck and prosperity is beautifully carved from tiger’s eye, jasper, and marble. The naturally occurring brown colouration in addition to the superb carvings creates a very realistic look to the piece. The red jasper is made to act as the cockerel’s comb and wattles. Jasper was most likely selected for the beak while the delicate red eyes are probably rubies.
Two slender silver legs support the cockerel and attach to the top of an amethyst base. The vibrant purple stone shines and shimmers in the sunlight adding a regal feel to the animal standing on top. This wonderous rock is believed to encourage peace and is a symbol of wisdom.
The deep spiritual meaning of the materials in addition to the magnificent natural properties of each one makes this objet d’art an especially desirable addition to one’s space.
